Please go vote: Abortion rights are on the line in the USA
It is clear that the legislative system is not protecting abortion rights in the USA, so now only voters can do this.
Since Supreme court judges that were appointed by Trump overturned Roe v. Wade and removed the nationwide right to abortion at least 14 states have banned abortion.
But in November 2023, Ohio voters who came out in support of abortion rights which are now enshrined in the constitution.
The Florida supreme court allowed the state’s six-week abortion ban to take effect but a ballot measure to enshrine the right to abortion in the state constitution will go before voters in November 2024.
How many states will vote on measures to enshrine abortion access in November is not yet clear. But what is clear is that abortion rights are on the line everywhere and now it is essential that people vote!
Unfortunately Aid Access cannot provide abortions to people that are more than 13 weeks pregnant and there will always be a need for abortion clinics and abortion provders.
