You can use painkillers like Ibuprofen (Motrin) and Acetaminophen (Tylenol) with Misoprostol along with a little food, but do not use any muscle relaxers.

While the Misoprostol should be taken 24 hours after Mifepristone, it can also be used from 12 hours to 72 hours after swallowing Mifepristone.

You can get pregnant right away after having an abortion. You can ovulate at any time after an abortion pill, even if you are still having some light bleeding.

If you are sexually active and do not want to get pregnant, always use contraception. Some contraceptives are more effective but none are 100% effective.

After using Mifepristone or Misoprostol, you can keep breast feeding as normal. There is only a very small chance of abortion pills causing mild stomach upset.

You can eat and drink as you normally would after taking the abortion pill, but you should not drink any alcohol or use drugs, as it can affect your judgment.

If you wait 4 hours and have no bleeding after misoprostol, you can take another 2 tablets misoprostol and again 3 hours later (you can continue using 2 tablets of misoprostol each 3 hours). If there is still no bleeding after a few days, you should have an ultrasound.

Most of the time blood and tissue can be seen in the sanitary napkin or in the toilet after abortion pill usage. It is possible that you might see the embryo.

You may feel the symptoms of pregnancy subside. You can take a home pregnancy test 4 weeks after or have an ultrasound to know if the abortion pill worked.
